A Suit and Professional Clothing Drive
July 11th, 2011 through July 29th, 2011
To Benefit: The Twin City Mission
The Young Professionals of Aggieland is hosting The Twin City Suit Up, a suit and professional clothing drive to benefit The Twin City Mission.
Beginning Monday, July 11 and running through Friday, July 29, YPA will be accepting donations of suits, dress shirts, slacks, khakis, women’s business attire, dress shoes, and belts to help the economically disadvantaged in the community in their effort to find employment.
The drive is being sponsored by Pride Cleaners, Harley’s, and KBTX Media.
Donations may be dropped off at Pride Cleaners on 29th Street & Carter Creek in Bryan or Harvey Mitchell & Welsh in College Station or at Harley’s on University Drive in College Station.
All donated clothing will receive a complimentary cleaning by Pride Cleaners.

YPA held its first Professional Development Luncheon on Thursday! Hunter Goodwin, President and COO of The Oldham-Goodwin Group, shared his thoughts on how to succeed as an entrepreneur, as well as his experiences as an A&M and NFL football player.

YPA – Young Professionals of Aggieland (YPA) is having its official “Kickoff Event” at The Village Cafe in Downtown Bryan. Doors open at 6pm for those that will like to come mix and mingle with the event officially starting at 7pm. Come find out what Young Professionals of Aggieland is all about and how you can get involved along with the opportunity to meet other young professionals in the Bryan/College Station area.
Door prizes will be raffled off through the evening from local business such as J Cody’s Barbeque, Douglas Nissan, Shipwreck Grill, Starbucks, Casa Rod, and Chrome as well as tickets and a parking pass to the Kansas State Basketball Game courtesy of The Oldham Goodwin Group.
YPA is a group of forward thinkers set out to engage, connect and empower young professionals to actively shape the future of Bryan/College Station. YPA was developed with the understanding that there is a need to provide diverse opportunities for networking, professional development and community involvement to this group that calls Aggieland home. More importantly, YPA is insurance that Bryan/College Station will continue to grow and maintain its status of a great place to live, work, play and shop.
